Telangana Assembly pays tributes to Sayanna

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Assembly paid tribute to the late Cantonment MLA G. Sayanna at the beginning of the Monsoon Session on Thursday.

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao introduced a condolence resolution in the House, remembering Sayanna as a patient, inclusive leader who worked tirelessly to merge the Cantonment in Hyderabad GHMC.

Sayanna was born in Nizamabad district and settled in Hyderabad GHMC. He was a businessman and a corporator in the city. He was elected MLA from the Cantonment constituency five times.

CM KCR said that he had a good personal relationship with Sayanna and that they had worked together on many occasions. He recalled that Sayanna was always patient and smiling and that he was always willing to help others.

CM KCR said that Sayanna was a strong advocate for merging the Cantonment in Hyderabad GHMC. He said that the people of the cantonment were very desperate for this to happen and that Sayanna had worked tirelessly to make it a reality. He said that he was happy that the central government was now considering merging the cantonments into the municipalities. He said that he wanted to fulfill Sayanna’s wish by seeing this through.

CM KCR expressed his condolences to Sayanna’s family and said that he would support them in their time of grief. He said that the loss of Sayanna was a great loss to the state and that he would be remembered for his commitment to public service.

The condolence resolution was passed unanimously by the Assembly. (INN)
