TSFDC to host a two-day conference on eco-tourism

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Forest Development Corporation (TSFDC) will be hosting a two-day conference on eco-tourism on September 26-27, 2023 in Hyderabad.

The conference will bring together 75 experts in the field of eco-tourism from various states across the country, including eco-resort managers, eco-infrastructure designers, and forest officials.

The conference aims to develop holistic criteria for identifying potential eco-tourism sites in Telangana, learn from best practices from other states, and formulate strategies to mobilize communities and other stakeholders for partnerships. The conference will also focus on the legal framework and policy support for eco-tourism, as well as site selection, capacity building, eco infrastructure, and monitoring.”The conference is designed to give participants the opportunity to interact with experts in the field on best practices on day one and present areas with potential for eco-tourism in Telangana on day two,” said TSFDC VC & MD Dr. G. Chandrashekar Reddy. “By the end of the conference, participants will have gained hands-on experience in identifying and assessing eco-tourism sites and identifying potential eco-architects for projects to be taken up by TSFDC.” (INN)
