Revanth Reddy sworn in as Telangana Chief Minister

Hyderabad: Anumula Revanth Reddy was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Telangana on Thursday in a grand ceremony at the LB Stadium in Hyderabad. The stadium erupted in cheers as Revanth Reddy took the oath of office and secrecy.

The event was attended by top Congress leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Chief Ministers Siddaramaiah and Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and family members of Revanth Reddy.

Besides Revanth Reddy, Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister. Leaders who took oath as cabinet ministers include N Uttam Kumar Reddy, C Damodar Raja Narasimha, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, D Sridhar Babu, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Konda Surekha, D Anasuya Seethakka, Tummala Nageswara Rao and Jupally Krishna Rao.

The Congress party has appointed Gaddam Prasad Kumar as the Speaker of the Telangana Legislative Assembly. (INN)
