Ministers Ponguleti and Seethakka inspect arrangements for Medaram Jatra

Hyderabad: Information & Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy informed that comprehensive facilities have been arranged for the Sri Sammakka and Saralamma Medaram Jatara scheduled from the 21st to the 24th of this month.

On Monday, Ponguleti, Minister D Seethakka, and others inspected the preparations for the Medaram Jatra.

Addressing the media, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy highlighted the provision of additional buses to accommodate the influx of devotees, revealing that 17 crore women have availed free bus travel to date. Anticipating a congregation of around two crore devotees over the four days, he assured that ongoing updates on the Medaram Jatra were being meticulously collected and budget allocations were being made accordingly.

Minister Seethakka emphasized the commitment to providing facilities for all attendees, irrespective of the lakhs of people attending the Medaram fair. She noted the arrangement of a substantial number of buses and the significant impact of the Mahalakshmi scheme, which facilitated 17 crore women travelling on buses without a ticket.The Medaram Jatra is expected to host a record participation of two crore devotees from the 21st to the 24th of this month. (INN)
