New districts creation gains momentum

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari said that the state government was taking a scientific approach in the creation of new districts for the administrative ease.

As part of the process, the Cabinet sub-committee which is looking in to the matter has held consultation with the peoples’ representatives at the Dr. Marri Channa Reddy Human Resource Development Institute for the past three days which concluded on Sunday.

The Deputy CM said that the sub-committee received numerous suggestions from the peoples’ representatives and the same would be looked into after a meeting of the district collectors.

The cabinet sub-committee then would submit the report to the Chief Minister.

On Sunday, peoples’ representatives from Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda and Warngal met the cabinet sub –committee and presented their suggestions. Accordingly, they suggested that Gadwal, Narayanpet, Jangaon, Mulugu should be formed as new districts. (INN)
