CM Revanth directs officials to ensure nutritional diets for pregnant women and mothers

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy conducted a review meeting with officials from the Women and Child Welfare Department, instructing measures to provide proper nutritional diets for pregnant women and mothers in Anganwadi Centers.

The Chief Minister emphasized preventing the misuse of nutritious food items and ensuring they reach the intended beneficiaries. To address this, he mandated the installation of CCTV cameras in Anganwadi Centers and using a biometric method for attendance. He also directed formulating a plan for constructing dedicated buildings for Anganwadi Centers operating in rented spaces. The Chief Minister stressed the need for special attention to be given to the private buildings housing Anganwadi Centers. Additionally, he called for a review of the establishment of Mobile Anganwadi Centers within the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits.Minister for Women and Child Welfare D Seethakka, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, and senior department officials were present during the meeting. (INN)
