Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is offering admissions in B.A. B.Ed., B.Sc. B.Ed., B.Com. B.Ed. (Secondary) four year Integrated Teacher Education programmes (ITEP) for candidates through National Common Entrance Test (NCET) in line with the New Education Policy 2020. According to Prof. M. Vanaja, Director, Directorate of Admissions, fifty seats are available each in B.A. B.Ed., B.Sc. B.Ed. and B.Com. B.Ed. The admissions will be on the basis of scores obtained in NCET conducted by National Testing Agency.
The 4-year integrated B.Ed. will be a dual-major holistic bachelor’s degree, in Education as well as a specialized subject such as language, history, music, mathematics, computer science, chemistry, economics, art, physical-education, etc. Beyond the teaching of cutting-edge pedagogy, the teacher education will include a grounding in sociology, history, science, psychology, early childhood care, and education, foundational literacy and numeracy, knowledge of India and its values/ethos/art/traditions, and more. The ITEP is a Dual Major Programme – the first major is in Education with School Specific Stage specialization and the second major is in an opted discipline.
The Department of Education and Training, MANUU Hyderabad campus is one of the institutions granted permission by NCTE to run the ITEP programme (secondary) under Humanities, Commerce and Sciences.
Eligibility Criteria: Urdu as a subject/language or as a Medium in 10th/12th/Graduation level or equivalent Madrasa courses with Urdu as medium of Instruction approved by MANUU. Candidates with minimum fifty percent marks in Senior Secondary or plus two examination or its equivalent from a recognized board are eligible for admission. The ccandidates should have studied atleast 2 discipline specific subjects at Senior Secondary or +2 examination or its equivalent. Relaxation as per GOI norms. Candidates studied from State Madrasa Education board are also eligible.
Admission Procedure for MANUU:
1. Admission in ITEP shall be through the score obtained in National Common Entrance Test (NCET) conducted by NTA.
2. At the time of application to the programme, the candidate must indicate the subjects/discipline (B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc. B.Ed./B.Com. B.Ed.)
3. Candidates who wish to join ITEP in MANUU should select Urdu as a compulsory subject as Language 1 in Section -1.
4. In Section-2 , candidates should select three domain specific subjects from the following combinations:
a) B.A.B.Ed – Political Science/ History/ Geography/ Economics (Any three)
b) B.Sc.B.Ed – Mathematics/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology (Any three)
c) B.Com. B.Ed – Accountancy/ Business Studies/ Business Economics/ Entrepreneurship (Any three)
