Hyderabad celebrated 70th I-Day (Independence Day) with joy and colors. The city turned tri-colors at many places. From Telangana State Assembly to various public and private institutes, all were decorated in tri-colors.
MANUU, Hyderabad
Maulana Azad National Urdu Univeristy (MANUU) hoisted national flag in the campus, and its students organized various programs on the 70th I-Day.
Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, MANUU vice chancellor, said “Country got independence only due to the great sacrifices by the freedom fighters.”
“They wanted freedom from the clutches of imperialist forces to be able to govern our own mother land. However, freedom bestows a huge responsibility too. As an institution of higher learning, it is our responsibility to prepare able students,” he added.
The Gachibowli based varsity’s NSS Cell also organized a “Freedom Run” early morning on August 15 from Health Center to Main Gate Complex as a part of Azadi 70-Yad Karo Kurbani (Freedom Fortnight).
BRAOU, Hyderabad
Prof K. Seetharama Rao, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) hoisted the tri-colour National Flag on the occasion of 70 th Independence Day at the campus on Monday and addressed the Staff Members.
He called upon the Staff to serve its clientele (Students) with dedication and discipline, which can pave way to better student support services.
Prof C. Venkataiah, Registrar, BRAOU also addressed the Staff after unfurling the National Flag at BRAOU Non-Teaching Employees’ Association premises at the campus.
The Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff members, Directors, Deans and Heads of Branches attended the Independence Day Celebrations.
Pegasystems, Hyderabad
Employees at Pegasystems celebrated 70th I-Day by participating in ‘The Freedom Ride’. The company continued its sponsorship with The Atlanta Foundation’s ‘Freedom Ride’, and a bunch of their employees showed their solidarity to the event theme of ‘Riding Free, Riding Healthy’.
