Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy extended his heartfelt congratulations to the people of Telangana on the momentous occasion of the state’s establishment anniversary.
As Telangana marks its entry into the eleventh year after a decade of existence, the Chief Minister reflected on the collective efforts and sacrifices that led to the state’s formation.
In his message, Revanth Reddy paid tribute to the martyrs who lost their lives in the struggle for statehood, acknowledging their pivotal role in achieving Telangana’s independence. He also lauded the contributions of poets, artists, students, teachers, employees, intellectuals, journalists, lawyers, workers, farmers, women, and political party leaders who have been integral to the Telangana movement.
Highlighting the significance of June 2, the Chief Minister expressed his joy over the day being celebrated as a milestone of complete independence for Telangana. He noted that under the Bifurcation of States Act, Hyderabad, which previously served as a joint capital, will now solely be the capital of Telangana. This change heralds new educational and employment opportunities for the state’s residents.
CM Revanth Reddy reaffirmed his government’s commitment to rebuilding the state in line with the aspirations of its people. He promised to address and revitalize damaged departments and restore the democratic atmosphere that he claimed had diminished over the past decade.
