Massive floods fill Sriram Sagar Project in Nizamabad

Hyderabad: The projects in the state are experiencing a surge in water levels. Due to heavy rains in the upstream states, reservoirs are filling up rapidly.In Nizamabad district, the Sriram Sagar Project (SRSP) is witnessing a massive flood. With an inflow of 53,000 cusecs, the SRSP is brimming with water. The project’s full reservoir level is 1091 feet (80.5 TMC), and by Friday evening, the water level had reached 1078.5 feet (41.139 TMC). The outflow continues at 684 cusecs. (INN)
