CM convenes all-party meeting on new districts on Aug 20

Hyderabad: In order to discuss the draft notification for formation of new districts in Telangana State, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has decided to convene an all-party meeting on August 20.

The decision was taken during a review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister at his camp office on Tuesday evening. The meeting was attended by minister Jagadish Reddy, MLC Rajeshwar Reddy, CMO Principal Secretary Narsing Rao, Smitha Sabharwal and other officials.

The all-party meeting will be convened on August 20 at 2 PM wherein representatives of TRS, Congress, TDP, MIM, BJP, CPM and CPI would be invited to present their views on the issues.

Prior to the all-party meeting, the Chief Minister will hold discussions with the Cabinet Sub-Committee which held hearings on the issues.

The Chief Minister has also convened State Cabinet meeting on August 20 at 4.30 PM to take a final decision the issue. (INN)
