Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Meteorological Center has forecasted light to moderate rainfall across Telangana over the next two days.
The weather department noted that the trough extending from Rayalaseema to the Comorin region on Tuesday has now shifted, stretching from Telangana to the southeast Arabian Sea along the Kerala coast at an average height of 1.5 kilometres above sea level. As a result, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are expected in the state on Wednesday.
The districts of Adilabad, Kommram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Siddipet, Sangareddy, and Medak are likely to receive scattered rainfall. On Thursday, the state is expected to witness winds blowing at speeds of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour, along with thunderstorms and lightning.In the last 24 hours, moderate rainfall has been recorded in several areas, including Rajanna Sircilla, Mahabubabad, Yadadri, Ranga Reddy, Nalgonda, and Nagar Kurnool. The highest rainfall was recorded in Munigala Veedu of Mahabubabad district, with 9.3 centimetres of rainfall. (INN)
