Telangana employee unions meet Health Minister over health scheme

Hyderabad: Representatives of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Telangana government employees and pensioners’ organisations met Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha to request the effective implementation of the Employees Health Scheme (EHS).

The JAC leaders handed over a draft of the proposed scheme, which was prepared after consultations with various employee organisations. They urged the minister to introduce the new health policy based on this draft.

The meeting, led by JAC Chairman V. Lacchi Reddy, involved a detailed discussion on the flaws in the current employee welfare scheme. The JAC representatives highlighted that their proposed health scheme would significantly benefit employees and enhance the government’s reputation. They assured the minister that the policy would not impose a heavy financial burden on the government and would ensure employees have easy access to medical facilities.Additionally, the delegation raised concerns about the impact of Government Order (GO) 317 on employees and demanded its immediate cancellation to ensure justice. (INN)
