Telangana likely to experience rain for next three days, IMD issues yellow alert

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has forecast continued rain in Telangana over the next two to three days.

According to the latest advisory, a surface trough extending from 3.1 to 5.8 km above sea level is present over the southwest Bay of Bengal and southern Andhra Pradesh coast, leading to the likelihood of showers across several districts.

Thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds are expected in some areas on Friday. The affected regions include Mancherial, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, and Kamareddy. In light of these weather conditions, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for these districts, advising residents to prepare for moderate to light rain until November 4.

Following this period, the weather across Telangana is expected to turn dry. Over the past 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall was recorded in districts including Mancherial, Mulugu, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Medak, Sangareddy, Sircilla, Siddipet, and Kamareddy. (INN)
