Telangana candidates excel in UPSC Mains 2024, CM congratulates achievers

Hyderabad: Telangana candidates have showcased remarkable success in the UPSC Mains 2024 results, with 20 aspirants qualifying for the next stage. For the first time, the state government provided financial aid to candidates appearing for the prestigious civil services examinations. 

Under the ‘Rajiv Civils Abhaya Hastham’ scheme, launched this year, financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh was extended to 135 aspirants through the Singareni Collieries Company Limited. The initiative aims to support economically disadvantaged candidates in pursuing their civil services aspirations. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy distributed the aid cheques to beneficiaries on August 26. 

Among the successful candidates are notable names such as E. Sai Shivani, Rahul Shankeshi, and Potharaju Hari Prasad from Warangal Urban; Nallamala Saikumar and Banothu Naga Raja Naik from Khammam; Kadari Srivani, Gade Swetha, and Raparti Preeti from Medchal-Malkajgiri; Kummari Shravan Kumar from Medak; and Mohammed Ashfaq and Togaru Suryateja from Ranga Reddy. Other achievers hail from districts including Mahabubabad, Siddipet, Nagarkurnool, Adilabad, Vikarabad, and Bhadradri Kothagudem.

The Chief Minister congratulated the successful candidates, particularly those who benefited from the state’s support initiative. He praised their dedication and expressed hope that they would serve as role models for future aspirants from Telangana. This milestone reflects the effectiveness of the state’s focused approach in empowering candidates through targeted financial and institutional support. It is expected to inspire more students from underprivileged backgrounds to aim for the highest levels of public service. (INN)
