Telangana CEO meets political parties ahead of National Voters’ Day

Hyderabad: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) C Sudharshan Reddy held a meeting with representatives of various political parties on Monday to address key aspects of the electoral process in Telangana. The discussion focused on voter enrollment, inclusivity, and transparency in the electoral rolls. 

The CEO informed attendees that the final publication of the Special Summary Revision 2025 was completed on January 6. He highlighted ongoing efforts to maintain accurate and inclusive voter lists across the state. Stressing the importance of collaboration, he urged all political parties to actively participate in initiatives aimed at strengthening the electoral process. 

Sudharshan Reddy also announced that National Voters’ Day will be celebrated on January 25. The event will be presided over by Governor of Telangana Jishnu Dev Verma, who will serve as the Chief Guest. He called on political leaders to promote voter awareness and participation to ensure a robust democratic process. Representatives from several parties, including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)], attended the meeting, offering their perspectives and support for enhancing voter engagement in the state. (INN)
