Hyderabad: A newborn baby, delivered on a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus, has been granted a lifetime free travel pass. TSRTC Managing Director V.C. Sajjanar presented the pass to the infant’s family as a goodwill gesture.
The incident occurred on January 2 when a bus travelling from Raichur to Gadwal had to halt after a pregnant passenger went into labour. The bus conductor, Kishore Kumar, and driver, Surender Goud, assisted the woman along with female passengers, ensuring a safe delivery inside the bus.
An ambulance was called, but before its arrival, the woman delivered a baby girl. Both mother and child were later shifted to a nearby hospital. Recognizing the unique birth, TSRTC decided to provide the child with free bus travel across Telangana for life. Sajjanar also honoured the bus crew for their quick response and assistance during the emergency. (INN)
