Revanth Reddy urges Youth Congress workers to promote welfare schemes

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday emphasised that Youth Congress workers must take the responsibility of promoting government welfare schemes among the public.

Addressing the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Telangana Youth Congress Committee office-bearers at Gandhi Bhavan, he stated that those who played a crucial role in bringing the party to power in the state would be given party tickets in the upcoming local body elections.

Revanth Reddy noted that the Congress government was implementing several welfare measures, but they were not receiving adequate publicity. He urged Youth Congress leaders and workers to actively disseminate information about government programmes and schemes. He advised them to participate in local body elections with the same enthusiasm as in the Assembly elections, stating that sincere efforts would ensure the party’s victory. He also remarked that elections cannot be won solely with money but require public support. He cautioned party workers against focusing only on political leaders instead of working for the party. He advised them to discard the notion that wealth alone guarantees political success, asserting that struggles on the streets could pave the way to higher political positions. Several senior Congress leaders were present at the event. (INN)
