Hyderabad: The Telangana Legislative Assembly will present the state budget on 19 March. This decision was taken in the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting held today after the Governor’s address on the first day of the budget session. The meeting, chaired by Speaker G Prasad Kumar, took place at 1 PM.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Minister for Legislative Affairs Sridhar Babu, BRS MLAs Harish Rao and V Prashanth Reddy, AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi, BJP floor leader Maheshwar Reddy, and other members attended the BAC meeting. As per the schedule finalised in the meeting, discussions on the motion of thanks to the Governor’s address will begin on 13 March. The Assembly will remain closed on 14 March due to Holi. On 17 and 18 March, separate bills on BC reservations and SC categorisation will be introduced. From 21 to 26 March, discussions on various departmental budget allocations will take place.
