Residential schools students to perform on Minorities Welfare Day

Students of newly established residential schools for minorities in Telangana will perform on ‘Minorities Welfare Day’ on November 11.

In their first, the students of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy residential schools are scheduled to give their performances, according to secretary of Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS).

“District Minorities Welfare Officers will organize and celebrate the Minorities Welfare Day in a benefiting manner in the entire state of Telangana”, the TMREIS secretary noted.

The Government of Telangana, through its Minorities Welfare Dept., is organizing a grand function on the eve of the 128th birth Anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, who served as India’s first Education Minister.

The function is scheduled to commence at Nizam College Ground on November 11, 2016 at 3.00 p.m. Chief minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao will inaugurate the function as Chief Guest.

Among notable figures who will attend the function are: Deputy chief minister Mahmood Ali, Deputy chief minister and education minister Kadiyam Srihari.
