T-Hub phase-II to house 1,000 startups

Hyderabad: Minister for IT and Industries K Tarakarama Rao on Saturday said that the State Government would construct world’s largest incubator facility as part of phase-II of T-Hub which could house 1,000 startups.

The facility would be spread over across 3,50,000 square feet and would be made available to entrepreneurs by 2018.

Speaking on the occasion to mark the first anniversary of the T-Hub, the minister said that the initiative of the state government has provided opportunity to youngsters who wanted to launch startups but do not have proper access to resources and infrastructure.

The minister said that under an exclusive fund T-fund would be created with a fund of Rs 100 crore to encourage startups. He said that the city has the highest number of incubators in the country.

He said that more and more private sector incubator are willing to come to Hyderabad and added that the state government would support them to ensure the rural young entrepreneurs get platform for their innovation. (INN)
