“Ruhaniyat” captivates audience at Rail Nilayam auditorium

Hyderabad: It was a evening that left the audience spell bound and seeking for more. “Ruhaniyat”, the Ghazal and Sufi Nite organised by the SCR Lalitha Kala Samithi today at Rail Nilayam Auditorium in Secunderabad saw a jam packed auditorium listening to some beautiful renditions coming from artists of repute from the City – Smt Poorva Guru and Imran Khan.

South Central Railway General Manager Ravindra Gupta, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the commencement of the musical evening.

He had a word of praise for the artistes and the accompanying musicians for their talent and opined that Hyderabad, with its rich culture and history is home to music of every sphere.

A.K. Gupta, Additional General Manager and P. Ganeswara Rao, Chief Commercial Manager, SCR and President SCR Lalitha Kala Samithi were amongst those present.

The popular Ghazals and Sufi songs which were rendered by the artists included those of Talat Aziz, Pankaj Udhas and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. (INN)
