Banswada: CPM State Secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram on Wednesday said that the State Government has not done anything concrete for the welfare of the marginalized sections in the first half of its tenure and suggested the KCR Government to concentrate on fulfilling the promises made during the elections.
Speaking at a programme as part of his Mahajana Padayatra, Veerabhadram said that the government was constructing airports and other swanky buildings and added that this would in no way help the poor.
He said that the poor of the state are waiting for the government to fulfill its promise of double bed-room scheme which the government is still eluding.
The CPM leader said that the golden Telangana was not possible unless the poor and the marginalized are not given their share. Government should uplift the poor and empower them to achieve golden Telangana.
Veerabhadram found fault with the state government saying that the government’s decision to make Siddipet constituency a cashless society was a mindless act.
How can the government achieve this without proper awareness. The people are struggling to meet their basic needs but the government was trying to impose cashless economy on the people without any proper action plan.
The CPM leader said that Dy CM Kadiyam Srihari was making lofty claims that the state government would bring a revolution in the state and questioned as to how could the state government achieve this at a time when the schools does not have teachers.
The government is delaying recruitment of teachers through DSC and was talking about improve school education, which is not possible without improving school infrastructure, he said. (INN)
