MP Vinod Kumar meets Union Minister Naqvi

Hyderabad: Karimnagar MP and TRS leader B. Vinod Kumar on Friday demanded the Central Government to set up School of Excellency Centre in Telangana.

Vinod Kumar met Union Minister for Minority Welfare Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and submitted him a memorandum with various demands.

Speaking to media persons, Vinod Kumar said that he had asked the Centre to allocate schools set up by the Centre for minority students. He said that he also demanded the minister to speed up the launch of Maulana Azad National Urdu University’s off-campus centre in Karimnagar at the earliest.

Five acre land for the off-campus centre had already been identified and handed over to the MANUU officials.

He also appealed the union minister to visit Telangana and inspect the Minority Residential Schools established by the TS government. He said that the minister had agreed to visit the state in February. (INN)
