HMRL demolishes major traffic bottleneck for Metro Rail

Hyderabad: A major traffic bottleneck at Musheerabad Junction, comprising 8 shops in ground floor and a restaurant on first floor occupying 176 sq. yards of Wakf land, has been demolished today by the town planning officials of GHMC and HMRL.

The road stretch at this junction of Metro Rail corridor-II is very narrow and with this demolition a left splay will be created towards Boiguda-Secunderabad railway station and the remaining 3 Metro Rail pillars at Musheerabad Jn will be taken up without traffic disruption, stated HMRL MD NVS Reddy.

An amount of Rs.172 lakh has been paid to Wakf Board for acquisition of this property and with this, no gaps are left between Boiguda-RTC X roads stretch in Metro Rail corridor-II, he added. (INN)
