TS Govt assures steps to get Assemanand’s bail cancelled

Hyderabad: Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy on Friday said that the Telangana Government would take steps to get Mecca Masjid bomb blast accused Swami Aseemanand’s bail cancelled.

Responding to a issue raised by MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi during Zero Hour in Legislative Assembly, the Home Minister said that the government would enquire as to how Aseemanand secured bail and efforts would be made to get it cancelled. He said that the government would ensure that justice is done.

Earlier, Akbaruddin Owaisi strongly objected to the grant of bail to 2007 Mecca Masjid blast case accused Assembly by a local court.

He also demanded that the State Government make public the report of Bhaskara Commission which probed the killing of youth in police firing immediately after the blast at Mecca Masjid.

He alleged that the same police officer was involved in Chitoor police firing incident. He asked the State Government to take stern action against the policemen found guilty of killing innocent youth in police firing.

The MIM leader asked the government to pressurise the NIA to get the bail to Aseemanand cancelled and he, along with other accused, is sent back to jail. (INN)
