SCR GM inspects Tirupati Railway Station

Hyderabad: South Central Railway General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav inspected Tirupati Railway Station on Wednesday. He reviewed the progress of works initiated by the Railways and indicated the officials that priority should be accorded for the convenience of pilgrims.

He was accompanied by Amitabh Ojha, Divisional Railway Manager and other Officials of Guntakal Division.

The General Manager undertook a swift inspection of Tirupati Railway Station, covering the entire station premises and reviewed plans for the expansion of the station to reduce the congestion of the Tirupati station.

He also inspected passenger amenities in the station premises and sought the feasibility of providing additional facilities at Tirupati Railway Station as soon as possible.

Later, the General Manager interacted with media and assured that development of Tirupati Railway Station would be completed with all passenger amenities within stipulated period.

Later, the General Manager visited the Carriage Repair Shop Hospital inspected the progress of ongoing developmental works.

Earlier, Vinod Kumar Yadav inspected the Level Crossing Gate No. 31 at Rachagunneri station between Renigunta and Srikalahasti and held a detailed review of safety aspects, the equipment available to meet the emergency situations and the alertness of the Gate Keeper at the Level Crossing Gate.

During the course of the inspection, the Divisional Railway Manager appraised the General Manager on the developmental plans of Tirupati Railway Station.

The General Manager stressed upon the long term perspective for the development programs with anticipation of growth in passenger traffic at Tirupati. (INN)
