Physical Literacy Days: Hyderabad gets its first Ultra Marathon

Hyderabad: NEB Sports, in association with IDBI Federal Life Insurance Quest for Excellence, P Gopichand Academy and Physical Literacy Days, launched Hyderabad Ultra Marathon logo at the PL days followed by a 5K run. The ultra marathon event is scheduled on November 5th this year.

After unveiling the logo, Badminton coach P Gopichand said, “India needs to foster a culture of sports, fitness and health among the country’s young and old alike, and it’s events like these that will go a long way in achieving this objective. I’m delighted to be a part of this initiative.”

Physical Literacy Days is a regular event to promote active lifestyle through community and fun approach. This Sunday morning event has become a family outing with games and cultural activities for all age groups.

Addressing the media, Nagaraj Adiga, Race Director, said, “We are delighted to launch our event in Hyderabad. The Ultra Marathon should give the citizens of this city a sense of pride and encourage them to participate in large numbers. We will be conducting our training sessions at the Physical Literacy Days for people who want to adopt running.
