Tummala discusses ongoing railway projects with SCR GM

Hyderabad: South Central Railway General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav met Roads & Buildings Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao and Chief Secretary Shekhar Prasad Singh at the Telangana Secretariat here on Wednesday.

The SCR GM discussed on the progress of various ongoing Railway Projects in Telangana including New Line Projects, Doubling/Tripling of existing double line routes.

He also discussed on funds for the cost-sharing projects in the state of Telangana; Requirement of land for the railway projects in the state of Telangana including new terminal stations; Consent of the state government for closure of LC gates consequent to construction of Limited Height Subways (LHS) or diversion to the nearby LC gates in close vicinity; ROB/RUB related issues;

Completion of approach portion of work of ROBs where railway portion of work is completed; Finalization of Agency for execution of ROB/RUB works in GHMC limits; Nomination of Nodal Officer from the state government for redevelopment of railway stations in the state of Telangana; Certification and reconstruction of Railway Land Boundary Plans; Consent of government of Telangana for procurement of additional 24-Car for MMTS Phase-II under material modification.

Vinod Kumar Yadav was thankful to the Telangana Government for extending its co-operation to projects concerning development of rail network in the State.

He also requested the State Government to help in issues concerning land acquisition for rail developmental works including for the development of various Railway stations. (INN)
