Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Secretary S.P. Singh has directed the officials to finalise the arrangements for official celebrations of Independence Day on August 15 at historic Golconda Fort.
The Chief Secretary on Thursday held a review meeting with top officials to review various arrangements for the event. The meeting was attended by the top officials of Police, R&B, GHMC, Water Works, Horticulture, Culture, Transport, Information & Public Relations, Archaeology and other departments.
Addressing the meeting, SP Singh informed that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao would first pay tributes to martyrs at Parade Grounds on August 15 and then host the national flag at Golconda Fort.
He said all important buildings like Secretariat, Charminar, Assembly, Raj Bhavan, etc., would be illuminated on the occasion. He directed the officials to work in close coordination and make fool proof arrangements for the event. (INN)
