IPS Naveen Chand inaugurates Preview Theatre in MANUU

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Commissioner IPS Naveen Chand inaugurated Preview Theatre at Instructional Media Centre in Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) today.

In the event presided over by MANUU vice-chancellor Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, IPS Chand extended his good wishes for the bright future of the University and its pass outs.

He was quite impressed with the combination of traditional and modern courses being offered at MANUU through Urdu Medium.

After inspecting the studio and various other facilities available at the Instructional Media Centre, he said that these facilities can be compared to any of the latest television studio.

He also praised the academic ambiance of the University and said it is an honour to inaugurate academic facility like preview theatre.

Dr. Aslam Parvaiz expressed his gratitude to the Police Department for their support. Preparation of study material in Urdu is the primary task, he pointed out.

Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, Registrar MANUU, Mr. Kartikeya, DCP, Mr. Ramna Kumar, ACP were also present. Earlier Mr. Mujahid Ali In-charge, presented a brief introduction of Instructional Media Centre.

A documentary outlining the mandate and progress made by the University was also screened. Prof. Mohammed Abdul Azeem, Proctor, Mr. Taher Ali, Security In- charge along with host of heads of departments and officials were present.

City celebrated 70th I-Day

Hyderabad celebrated 70th I-Day (Independence Day) with joy and colors. The city turned tri-colors at many places. From Telangana State Assembly to various public and private institutes, all were decorated in tri-colors.

Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, MANUU vice chancellor, said “Country got independence only due to the great sacrifices by the freedom fighters.”

“They wanted freedom from the clutches of imperialist forces to be able to govern our own mother land. However, freedom bestows a huge responsibility too. As an institution of higher learning, it is our responsibility to prepare able students,” he added.

The Gachibowli based varsity’s NSS Cell also organized a “Freedom Run” early morning on August 15 from Health Center to Main Gate Complex as a part of Azadi 70-Yad Karo Kurbani (Freedom Fortnight).

Prof K. Seetharama Rao, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) hoisted the tri-colour National Flag on the occasion of 70 th Independence Day at the campus on Monday and addressed the Staff Members.

He called upon the Staff to serve its clientele (Students) with dedication and discipline, which can pave way to better student support services.

Prof C. Venkataiah, Registrar, BRAOU also addressed the Staff after unfurling the National Flag at BRAOU Non-Teaching Employees’ Association premises at the campus.

The Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff members, Directors, Deans and Heads of Branches attended the Independence Day Celebrations.

Azadi 70 – Freedom Fortnight programm at MANUU

Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University is organizing 15 days celebrations “Yad Karo Kurbani (Freedom Fortnight)” in connection with 70th Independence Day.

The celebrations will continue until 23rd August. The activity, being organised in accordance to directions received from University Grants Commission, aims to create awareness among the students about the sacrifices rendered during Freedom Struggle.

According to Dr. Mohammed Fariyad, Coordinator, NSS, Competition of painting greeting cards for Army Jawans at border will be conducted on August 12. “Freedom Run” from University Health Centre to Main Gate will be organized on 15th August, 8.00 a.m. Slogan Writing competition in Urdu, English and Hindi languages will be held on 17th August, whereas essay writing competition on August 18.

Patriotic songs competitions will be held on 19th August. The lecture by an eminent personality will be organized on 22nd August and there will be a mass recitation of National Anthem by students on August 23. These competitions will be organized in various auditoriums of the University.

MANUU offers admission into Bridge, Paramedical courses

Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University is offering admissions into Bridge and Paramedical Courses. Bridge Courses are being introduced this year for Madrasa passouts.

According to Prof. P. F. Rahman, Chairman Central Admission Committee, 8th August is the last date for applying for these courses.

Interested candidates can obtain applications from Central Admission Cell, Administrative Building, MANUU Campus, Gachibowli or download from university website www.manuu.ac.in.

Filled in application forms with required documents and fee could be submitted to the Central Admissions Cell up to 8th August. (INN)

Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University is offering admissions into Bridge and Paramedical Courses.

Bridge Courses are being introduced this year for Madrasa pass outs. According to Prof. P. F. Rahman, Chairman Central Admission Committee, 8th August is the last date.

The applications may be obtained from Central Admission Cell, Administrative Building, MANUU Campus, Gachibowli or download from university website www.manuu.ac.in. Filled in application forms with required documents and fee could be submitted to the Central Admissions Cell from 1st to 8th August. (INN)

Spot admissions in various courses at MANUU

Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) will give spot admissions in various undergraduate and post graduate courses on 22nd July.

The Gachibowli-based University said the admission for merit based UG/PG and research programmes are scheduled on 20th and 21st July at its Hyderabad campus. If any seats are left vacant they will be filled by organizing spot admissions on 22nd July.

According to Prof. P. F. Rahman, Chairman, Central Admission Committee, candidates who have already applied and fresh applicants can attend the spot admissions along with required documents. Seats in various departments available after the admissions will be filled up.

Candidates shall report for spot admissions between 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on 22nd July. Admissions will be finalized in the same afternoon.

Meanwhile, submission of admission forms for newly introduced Bridge Courses will close on 18th July. For further information, interested candidates may visit the website www.manuu.ac.in.

Cyberabad Police Organizes Haritha Haram at MANUU, Hyderabad

Cyberabad Police organized a plantation drive as part of Telangana Government’s Haritha Haram at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in Hyderabad on July 13, 2016.

MANUU vice chancellor Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, Cyberabad DCP Kartikya and other police and university officials participated in the drive and planted saplings near CSE Coaching Academy Building in the campus.

Horticulture Incharge at MANUU Dr. Maqbool Ahmed noted that the university is an important stakeholder in Telangana’s Haritha Haram project under Institutional Plantation Program.

Large number of girl students from Raidurgam Government Junior College also participated and planted saplings between CSE Coaching Academy and Gulzar Girls Hostel.

Among other notable personalities at the program were: MANUU Registrar Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, Madhapur ACP Mr. Ramna Kumar, Additional DCP Ms. Saleema, MANUU Proctor Prof. Mohammed Abdul Azeem, Inspectors of Raidurgam and Gachibowli Police Stations Prasad and Ramesh, SI Nadeem.

Security Incharge Mr. Taher Ali, along with other MANUU officials and staff were also participated in the event.

MANUU: Admissions open in MA History at Hyderabad Campus

Admissions in MA History is open for elegible candidates at its Hyderabad Campus, according to Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU).

The admissions for session 2016-17, based on the merit secured in the last qualifying examination with a minimum of 40% pass percentage, are open till July, 11 (Only Online).

The courses would be taught by eminent and experienced experts in the subject in Urdu, the Hyderabad based univeristy said. MANUU launched the Post-Graduate programme in History from session 2015-16.

The objective is to re-situate Indian history, promote multiculturalism and human co-existence, prepare the students for competitive examinations and sensitise them to the 21 st century global challenges and opportunities.

MANUU celebrates International Yoga Day in Hyderabad Campus

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) organized yoga session at its Hyderabad campus on the eve of International Yoga Day on June 21, 2016.

Ayurvedacharya from Patanjali Chikitsalaya in Gachibowli, Dr. Ramakant Sahu talked about importance and relevance of Yoga in his lecture as a Chief Guest of the event.

Yoga Guru Ram Avatar Tiwari demonstrated various Yoga Asans at Sports Complex in Hyderabad campus of MANUU. Another guest, Dr. Sahu noted that Yoga helps in good physical health and contributes to mental fitness.

For example during normal course of respiration only 30% of lungs are used, whereas during Pranayam this important organ of the body is utilized completely, he said.

Principal of Polytechnic, Dr. Mohammed Yousuf Khan, presided over and advised the students to take up Yoga and physical activity for healthy life.

Dr. Mohammad Fariyad, Coordinator of NSS and Yoga Day, said that Yoga ispart of Indian culture and the Government of India is focused on promoting our culture.

Last date for admission in journalism extended at MANUU

Last date for admission in MA in Journalism and Mass Communication at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) extended to July 11, 2016.

Dean School of MCJ and Head, Prof. Ehtesham Ahmad Khan said that the date was extended to facilitate the students.

He also informed that the admissions in the course will be given on merit basis, instead of entrance test as announced earlier.

One of the primary criteria for admission is Urdu. Candidates applying for the admission must have studied Urdu as a subject. In addition, they must have passed graduation.
