Hyderabad: Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao on Wednesday informed the Telangana Legislative Assembly that the State Government was constructing 11 bridges across Godavari, Krishna, Manjeera and Manair rivers.
Replying to a question raised by TRS MLAs Ashannagari Jeevan Reddy, Gangula Kamalakar and Putta Madhukar during Question Hour, the minister said that out of 11, three bridges are across river Godavari at Panchagudi, Bhadrachalam and Bomapally; Four bridges across Manair river at Neerukulla, Sadashivapally,
Bridges at Km 19/6 of Manthani-Oded road and at Km 3/8 of Khammampally – Bhoopalapally; Three bridges across river Manjeera at Birkur, at Km 3/8 to 4/4 of Annasagar – Pitlam and at Venkampally; One bridge across river Krishna at Mattampally in Suryapet district.
The minister said that the estimate cost of the above said bridges is Rs.752.75 Crores. One bridge proper work across Manair River at Neerukulla is completed. An approach for this bridge is in progress. Out of remaining 10 bridges, four bridges are at advanced stage of completion. (INN)
