459 students benefited from AOVN scheme

Hyderabad: Minister for Scheduled Caste Development Koppula Eshwar informed the Legislative Assembly that as many as 459 students in Telangana State have availed financial assistance of Rs. 72.51 crore under Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scheme to pursue higher studies in foreign universities.

Repling to a question raised by MLAs Balka Suman, Gadari Kishore Kumar and Haripriya Banoth during Question Hour on Monday, the minister informed that 78 students benefitted in 2014-15; 133 in 2015-16; 78 in 2016-17; 59 in 2017-18; 101 in 2018-19 and 10 students in 2019-20 (Up to August, 2019).
