Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister (Education) Kadiyam Srihari on Wednesday informed the Telangana State Legislative Assembly that as many as 5,011 contractor lecturers benefitted from the massive salary hike given by the State Government.
Replying to a question raised by TRS MLAs M. Sudheer Reddy and V. Srinivas Goud during Question Hour, the Deputy CM said the salaries of 3,687 Contract Junior Lecturers was increased from Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 37,100 per month. Similarly, 889 Contract Degree Lecturers’ salary was increased from Rs. 20,700 to Rs. 40,270.
Likewise, as many as 435 Contract Polytechnic Lecturers got a hike in their salaries from Rs. 19,000 to Rs. 40, 270 per month.
The Deputy CM said that the hike in salaries of contract lecturers would put an additional financial burden of Rs. 50.56 crore on the State’s exchequer. (INN)
