5th International Day of Yoga Celebrated on SCR

Hyderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) celebrated the 5th International Day of Yoga at Indoor Stadium, Railway Sports Complex, Secunderabad on Friday.

Additional General Manager John Thomas, Principal Chief Personnel Officer N.V. Ramana Reddy, Principal Heads of Departments and other senior railway officials of South Central Railway participated. A large number of staff, family members, trainees and school children participated in large number.

Murari Mohan, renowned Yoga Teacher and State Coordinator for Art of Living Society, Hyderabad conducted the session with Asanas, Pranayama, Meditation and Sankalpam etc., as part of the program to a large gathering who participated with enthusiasm.

A pledge was also administered to the participants for practicing Yoga in daily life.

Murari Mohan called upon the gathering to practice Yoga in everyday life to attain good health, sound thinking and spiritual discipline. John Thomas felicitated Murali Mohan and Smt Shilpa on the occasion of International Yoga Day.

Yoga day was also celebrated at Zonal Railway Training Institute (ZRTI), Moula Ali, Hyderabad in which Trainees/Instructors participated in Yogaasanas which was conducted by Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan, Hyderabad.

Yoga Day was also celebrated in Hyderabad and Guntakal divisions. At Guntakal, local MLA Y. Venkatarama Reddy was the chief guest at a program held in Railway Grounds. (INN)
