Hyderabad: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board has appealed to the political parties to restrain from making statements on Babri Masjid title dispute as the matter was pending before Supreme Court.
The APMPLB General Secretary, in a media statement on Wednesday, said that the matter relating to the Babri Masjid Title dispute was heard by the Supreme Court yesterday.
He stated that during the course of arguments, a stand was taken by the Counsels representing Muslim Parties, on instruction of their respective Clients, stating that it was not the right time to take up the matter for Final Hearing.
As the representative body, the Board endorses and confirms the said statement of the Counsels made in Court.
“Considering the sensitivity attached to the issue and different media reports, Board is compelled to clarify its stand. Board also clarify that different statements from different leaders for constructing Ram Temple and indicating the dates and place etc are unfortunate.
Board condemns the same as the case is subjudice in court. Board expects political statements not to be made by parties, as we have heard since yesterday in relation to court proceedings of yesterday,” the AIMPLB official said. (INN)
