Bhatti hits out at KCR over re-designing of irrigation projects

Hyderabad: TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka lashed out at the TRS government saying that it was imposing a huge burden of Rs 80,000 Crore on the people of the state by taking up the redesigning of irrigation projects.

The Congress leader came down heavily on Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao saying that he was taking up these projects only to benefit TRS leaders and his relatives.

He wondered as to why the TRS leaders were celebrating when the state interests were actually mortgaged to the neighbouring state.

There was actually nothing that the state had benefitted from the pact, but the TRS leaders were celebrating as if the state benefitted with the pact on irrigation projects, he said.

Bhatti said that KCR had made false allegation of corruption on Congress when Jalayagnanm was taken up by the Congress and said that still the TRS chief was not sent to jail.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday had threatened the opposition leaders saying that cases will be slapped for making false allegations on the TRS Government.

State interests mortgaged: Jeevan Reddy

In a related development, MLA and senior Congress leader T Jeevan Reddy alleged that the TRS government had mortgaged the interests of the state by signing a pact with the Maharashtra government.

He said that by intimidating the Opposition leaders, KCR cannot change truth which the people of the state are aware of.

He said that the decision to construct Medigadda and Annaram barrages shows that the government lacks wisdom. (INN)
