Hyderabad: Deputy CLP leader in Telangana Legislative Council Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Wednesday said that the Centre’s mid-night decision to demonetize the currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 had put the poor and the middle class to severe inconvenience.
Speaking to the reporters, Sudhakar Reddy said that it was wrong on the part of Modi to compare the demonetization of big currency notes to that with surgical strikes operations.
The former AICC leader said that the Centre had failed to bring back the black money stashed in foreign lands.
He said that instead of bringing the stash from foreign banks the government was putting the people to inconvenience through its illogical decisions.
He said that the most of the black money was in foreign lands and asked Modi to fulfill its poll promise of bringing back the foreign money and act against those names in Panama Papers.
The Congress leader slammed TRS MP Suman for referring TJAC chief Prof Kodandaram as Congress spokesperson.
He said that instead of solving the issues faced by farmers, the ruling TRS was attacking the leaders raising the issues.
He said that the people of Telangana would be ever thankful to Sonia Gandhi as she played a key role in Telangana formation, he said. (INN)
