Hyderabad: The budget session of Telangana State Legislature, which began here on Friday, will continue till March 20.
The decision was taken in the meetings of Business Advisory Committees (BACs) chaired by Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy in Assembly and Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy in Council.
Briefing the media persons about the decisions taken in the separately held meetings, Legislative Affairs Minister V. Prashant Reddy that both the Houses would take up Motion of Thanks on Governor’s Address on Saturday.
The annual budget for the financial year 2020-21 will be presented on March 8 by Finance Minister T. Harish Rao. There will be discussion on the budget on 11th and 12th March while the Assembly would have discussion on grants for six days from 13th to 19th March. The Appropriation Bill will come up for approval on March 20.
In view of holidays on 9th, 10th and 15th March, overall, the minister said that the budget session would be for 12 days in Assembly and eight days in Council. (INN)
