Chief Secretary holds tele-conference with top officials

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar informed that the Union Home Ministry permitted in situ construction in Urban areas in the recent order issued on 1st May.

He said that the project developers could take steps to secure requisite material, engage with their workers etc.,

The Chief Secretary held a tele-conference along with DGP Mahener Reddy, Principal Secretary of MA&UD Arvind Kumar, Industries, CP’s of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda and representatives of CREDAI, TREDAI today from BRKR Bhavan on the issues being faced by them.

Chief Secretary assured the project developers of all necessary support to construction activity by the State administration. In light of recent developments, he urged the builders to instill confidence among the workers particularly migrant workers through counselling and extending incentives, facilities, medical care etc.

All out efforts should made so that labourers feel comfortable. On request of the builders participating in the Tele Conference, Chief Secretary assured that the government will take steps to ensure smooth supply of Steel, Cement, Sand, Bricks etc.

DGP Mahender Reddy reiterated that smooth movement of construction goods vehicles would be ensured through three Police Commissionerates.

Industries Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Police Commissioners Anjani Kumar, Mahesh Bhagwat and V.C. Sajjanar and other senior officials participated in the Tele Conference. (INN)
