Chief Secretary inspects facilities at KBR park

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Secretary SK Joshi appreciated the Forest Department for the way the prestigious KBR National Park is being maintained in confirmity with the prescribed KBR Management Plan, while providing all the required amenities for the visitors from all walks of life.

Today he visited the KBR National Park along with madam Chief Secretary Anuradha Joshi and R Sobha, PCCF & HoFF, Telangana and Chandra Shekhar Reddy APCCF and also Irrigation Engineer in Chief Muralidhar.

The Chief Secretary inspected all the amenities that are bringing provided in the visitors zone of the National Park and interacted with some of the visitors came across, some of whom were also took part in the inspection.

Joshi inspected part Conservation zone along with the team, during which observed the greenery from the top floor of the watch tower and expressed utmost satisfaction and appreciated the efforts of the department for ensuring such lush green jungle of 1. 42 sq kms in the concrete jungle, where it was mere rocky barren hill just few years back.

The Chief Secretary opined that there was a lot of scope in Telangana for establishing the Eco Development Corporation to take care of Eco Parks in rest of the state on par with KBR NP, as the public awareness for health and environment is increasing, which in turn assuring the promised scope for self reliance for the Corporation too.

The Chief Secretary also planted Juvvi ( Ficus resimosa) plant on the crevices of the sheet rock near the watch tower in a non conventional technique of Drum planting method and said that the plant will thrive even on the sheet rock.
