CM inaugurates Bhakta Ramadasu project

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday dedicated the Bhakta Ramadasu project to the nation.

The project has been constructed near Erragadda tanda of Kasumanchi mandal of Khammam district and it will irrigate 60,000 acres land in Palair Assembly constituency. Constructed at a cost of Rs. 336 crore, the project has been completed two months prior to the set deadline.

The State Government had acquired 128 acre land and a 16-km long pipelines has been laid for the project.

The inauguraal ceremony was attended by Deputy CM Kadiyam Srihari, Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao, Energy Minister Jagadishwar Reddy, R&B Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao and other dignitaries.

By pressing a button, the Chief Minister released the water to the drought-affected areas of Tirumala Palem, Kasumanchi, Nelakondapalli, mandals of Khammam Rural and Mudigonda mandal. (INN)
