Hyderabad: Mahabubabad MLA Banothu Shankar Naik has requested Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to sanction a Horticulture Polytechnic College as an affiliate to the Krishi Vignan Kendra (KVK) at Malyala village in Mahabubabad district.
Naik met the Chief Minister on Thursday in Hyderabad. Naik told the CM that former Agriculture University Vice Chancellor Raghotham Reddy had donated 160 Acres of land and Rs one Crore for the Malyala KVK.
The MLA requested that a Horticulture Polytechnic should be sanctioned as an affiliate of the KVK Malyala. He also reminded the CM that State Rythu Bandhu Samithi President Palla Rajeshwar Reddy had visited the KVK and submitted a report.
Responding positively to the request, the Chief Minister gave an assurance that the Horticulture Polytechnic College would function from the coming academic year. In this context, MLA Shankar Naik thanked the CM. (INN)
