Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has ordered a CID Inquiry on the accident that took place at Srisailam Power Plant which claimed nine lives on Friday.
The Chief Minister made it clear that the reasons behind the accident should be brought to the light. Based on the CM’s instructions, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar has appointed CID Additional DGP Govind Singh as the Inquiry Officer on the accident. The Additional DGP has been asked to probe the matter and submit a report to the government.
Earlier in the day, CM KCR expressed shock over the accident that took place at Srisailam Power Generation Plant. “The CM is eliciting information on the accident on a regular basis. The CM wanted all those who were trapped in the plant to come out safely.
He spoke to Minister Jagdeesh Reddy and Transco, Genco CMD D Prabhakar Rao who are at the Plant site and reviewed the relief measures taking place there,” said a press release issued by the CMO. (INN)
