Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao said that the Telangana Government would make some major announcements for the promotion of Telugu language on the concluding day of ongoing World Telugu Conference.
On the third day of conference on Sunday, the Chief Minister participated in a programme at Telangana Saraswath Parishad. He praised GMR Sharma for presenting State Government’s schemes in poetry.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister informed that delegates from 42 countries and 17 States and one union territory in India are participating in the conference. He said eminent Telugu poets, writers and literary personalities are participating in various sessions being held at Ravindra Bharathi, Telugu University, Indira Priya Darshini Auditorium and Saraswata Parishad.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the ongoing conference would provide Telugu its deserved status. He said that the State Government has made elaborate arrangements for the conference. (INN)
