Congress asks JNTU to postpone exams on Sept 13

Hyderabad: The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee on Wednesday urged the State Government to direct all universities and educational institutions to postpone the examinations scheduled on September 13 as it coincides with Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid).

According to TPCC Spokesperson Syed Nizamuddin, the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (Hyderabad) has scheduled two examinations – I Year B. Tech (FN) and I Year B. Pharm (FN) on September 13 which coincides with the Eid.

In a letter to the JNTU Vice-Chancellor, Syed Nizamuddin said that Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid), one of the two important festivals of Muslims across the world, would be celebrated across the Telangana on September 13.

Therefore, he requested the VC to postpone all the exams that are scheduled on September 13.

In another letter to Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma, the TPCC Spokesperson urged him to direct all educational institutions to postpone the exams that coincide with Eid-ul-Adha. (INN)
