CPI asks TRS to clarify stand on beef ban

CPI asks TRS to clarify stand on beef ban

Hyderabad: CPI National General Secretary S. Sudhakar Reddy asked the Telangana Rashtra Samithi to clarify its stand on Central Government’s decision on beef ban.

Addressing a press conference at Makhdoom Bhavan on Wednesday, Sudhakar Reddy said that the beef ban was both illegal and unconstitutional.

He also objected to the advise of RSS asking Muslims to quit consumption of beef. He said it was wrong on the part of TRS to maintain silence on critical issues like beef ban or sale of cow. He asked TRS and also the TDP to clarify their stand on these issues.

Sudhakar Reddy also condemned the Centre’s decision to privatise Air India. He said Air India was deliberately pushed into losses and now efforts are being made to privatise the airlines. He alleged that the BJP Government was also trying to privatise organisations like ONGC. (INN)
