Deputy CM meets Scottish delegation

Hyderabad: A high level delegation of education department of Scotland met Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari at the State Secretariat on Tuesday.

Srihari appraised the delegation about the various measures taken up by the Telangana government to improve education in the state and sought the help of Scotland in providing better education facilities, enhancing skill and employability of state youth.

The Deputy CM informed the delegation that the there were 240 residential schools when the state was formed and the government had started 254 new residential school.

He said that by the commencement of next year 210 new schools would be added to the residential schooling society.

He said that the government was providing infrastructure in the schools and has introduced digital classes as part of digital literacy drive.

Srihari sought the help of Scotland in providing soft skills and added that the government was ensuring that the youth after completion of graduation were able to get employment. (INN)
