DGPs conference begins

Hyderabad: The three-day annual conference of the Directors General of Police (DGPs) and Inspectors General of Police (IGPs) of all the states began in Hyderabad on Friday.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh who arrived in Hyderabad on Friday morning inaugurated the conference at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy.

Prime Minister Narender Modi who will arrive late Friday evening will address the conference on Saturday.

The PM will discuss with the DGPs various issues like cross-border terrorism, infiltration and other security related issues.

Situation arising out of demonetization will also be discussed at the meet, sources said. This is the first time that the DGPs conference is being held in Hyderabad. (INN)
