Hyderabad: Digithon supported by Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) is providing a platform for engineering students who need internship for quality training, knowledge and experience.
With the government making mandatory that B.Tech students should do three projects as part of their curriculum in the form of internship, to meet this regulation and international expectations, TITA has planned to begin an internship initiative that will begin on May 6 for which registrations are being rolled out.
To meet the mandatory needs of internship, students often go to institutions that lack the knowhow & experience and the students end up submitting projects without any substance. Some even copy paste others’ projects. Industry often complains about it and is concerned about such a practice.
Keeping this scenario in mind, TITA held talks with JNTU, Engineering Colleges and IIIT Basar. TITA spoke to several companies in the industry that work in the areas of skill development and identified several crucial aspects.
The association has identified Cyber Security, Digital Marketing, Artificial Intelligence & Machine learning, and Blockchain for the internship initiative.
Instead of making internships restricted only for record purposes, TITA realized that there is need to make internships a means to impart knowledge to create job-ready workforce. TITA has conceptualized internships for students that can be carried out in the US, Singapore, South Africa and Canada.
The students can register themselves for internship opportunities by logging into bit.ly/tita_internship and can call at 8123123434 for more details and clarifications.
Speaking on the occasion, TITA Global President Sundeep Kumar Makthala said, through Digithon, right form of internship platform is being created for BTech students post their education.
Besides getting exposure from senior industry experts, the internships will benefit students with both financial support as well as job opportunities. TITA and Digithon will be issuing the certificates. Since there are limited quality internships available, those who register early can gain early, he stated. (INN)
